South Llano River Flooding

As many of you know there was a large rise on the river last night and there were some people swept away from the South Llano RV Park. Your local first responders as well as many from agencies around the state responded to help with search and rescue. We are trying to feed the first responders. Tonight (10/8), locals organized by First Baptist Church will be feeding them out at TX Tech where they will be staying. Tomorrow (10/9) morning at 7:30 we will be feeding them breakfast at our church. I have enough cooks but if you would like to come and help serve please come about 7 AM. Lacey Lee is organizing lunch tomorrow which will be served at First Baptist. Dinner tomorrow night is being handled by College Street Church of Christ. As of right now we are not aware of any other needs in the community but as we are informed we will pass them along. Please keep in prayer those who are yet to be found.

Church Activities

Sunday School
We have classes for all ages including 3 adult classes at 9:45.

Elementary After School Program
During the school year we have an elementary after school program that meets on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:00. We pick children up at Junction Elementary School

Middle School and High School
Meet Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 for food, fellowship and fun

Presbyterian Women
Our Presbyterian Women have circle meetings at 9:45 on the second Tuesday of each month September through May.

Men’s Breakfast
Men of the church meet the first Saturday of each month for food, fellowship, prayer and devotion. Breakfast starts at 8:00.

Fellowship Groups
Various times throughout the year we have groups meeting for Bible study, prayer, picnics, meals, games and other fellowship activities.

Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 for practice.

Bell Choir
The bell ringers play for special occasions throughout the year.

Community Involvement
We are actively involved in the Junction Ministerial Alliance and participate in the Lenten Luncheons, Community Hymn Sing, Community Thanksgiving Service, the Easter Cantata, and the Christmas Cantata.
